As you wake, become aware of your breath and begin to notice the rise and fall
Think of 3 things you are grateful for
Take 5 minutes to do some simple mindful movements
Avoid looking at your phone straight away!
Take a mindful shower and notice using your senses
Brush your teeth noticing sensations
Put on a favourite song
Eat breakfast mindfully
Make a list of things to do in order of priority
Stand outside, (even if it’s raining!), and take a few deep breaths
I already do a lot of these, but the thing here that’s screaming out at me is ‘don’t look at your phone first’ I use mine as an alarm, so it’s mostly the first thing I see. Time to invest in a clock!!!
